The YES Foundation Inc. makes it a priority to educate and stimulate the minds of the youth. In doing so, we also remind every student we work with and all of our scholarship recipients that the key to success is to never stop learning.
As we visit Tuskegee University to celebrate their 100th Anniversary during homecoming, we took some time to visit the engineering building and learn about the various applications for producing electricity. These sources included steam, hydro (water), and combustion gas. The power (W, kW, MW, GW) is produced at the plant and transmitted at high voltage to substations that will then lower the voltage to become available for consumers like homes and businesses. When that power is used over time at said facility, it creates energy (kWh).
